Record Retention

PRATTedu retains records of the following information regarding courses taken for at least five years: program description materials; name and credentials of course developer and reviewer; and the name of the participant, date of course purchase, date of certificate award, number of CPE credits earned, and the results of program evaluations.

Refunds

PRATTedu offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for its CPE courses. If participants are not satisfied with any self-study course, provided they have not earned CPE credit from that course, they are invited to submit a refund request stating the reasons for their dissatisfaction.  They should use the contact form with the subject “Refund Request”.

Program Cancellation

In the event that PRATTedu offers an event, webcast, or seminar participants will be notified of cancellations via email. Participants will receive a credit in the form of a coupon code or voucher redeemable for any event, webcast, or seminar of equal value in the event of a cancellation. The credit will not be redeemable for cash or refund and will not have an expiration date.

PRATTedu does not offer events, webcasts or seminars at this time.

Complaint Resolution

Participants not completely satisfied with a PRATTedu self-study course, should use the contact form and clearly state the reasons for their dissatisfaction. All complaints are resolved personally by professor Jamie Pratt.

The alternate method of contact will be the following email. However, the contact form will result in the quickest response time for any complaints or questions.

Course Updates

PRATTedu revises its courses to stay current with changes in relevant Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), both US and IFRS and revises materials to reflect relatively recent financial accounting and disclosure practices used by the companies featured in the videos. In subject areas that undergo frequent changes, a subject matter expert reviews them at least once a year. All other courses are reviewed at least once every two years.

Self-Study

Participants who wish to earn continuing professional education credit for a PRATTedu self-study course must complete the program within one year from the date of purchase. They can access and print a certificate of completion immediately after receiving a passing grade on a final assessment quiz. The minimum passing score for each course is 70%. If participants initially fail a quiz, they can continue to take the test an unlimited number of times within the one-year period from the date of purchase.

Information Privacy

The PRATTedu course purchasing form requires the participant to input his or her name, e-mail address, and payment information. We only use this information to process the order, complete enrollment, issue course completion certificates and distribute periodic updates on new courses and related promotions. Participants have the option to unsubscribe from our mailings at any time; an unsubscribe link is located on our promotional e-mails. We outsource credit card processing to another company and provide it with the minimum information needed to carry out its contracted service. PRATTedu does not donate, lease or sell this information to any parties.
